Beating Burnout with Boundaries (with Guest Jason Young)
[This episode was originally aired in November 2023. As one of our top episodes, we decided to share it with you now while we take a recording break!]
Jason Young, is a nationally recognized consultant and leadership guide, keynote speaker, best-selling author, and university professor. He has over 25 years of experience working alongside well-respected churches and companies, a doctoral degree in hospitality, and is currently working on his Ph.D. in leadership trauma. And THIS is why I asked him to join us today. Jason recently wrote a book, Don’t Burn Out, Burn Bright, focusing on pastors and ministry leaders and how they can perform their roles well without exhaustion, discouragement, and burnout. While caregivers aren’t pastors, we certainly have much in common as both roles focus on caring for others. We’ll discuss how burnout happens to people serving and leading others and what we need to do so we can not burn out but burn bright.
